Sibling Families
Current Short Avenue families on permit are not guaranteed a spot for a younger sibling. Families with a younger sibling are asked to please fill out the google form that will be in the Weekly Wave starting November 3rd, 2024. This will indicate your interest and will add you to the Sibling Waitlist. Siblings of current students will be given priority, when accepting students off of the waitlist.
Non-Resident Applicants Needing a Permit
-
Our January 30th Tour is now closed. We will not be having another tour for families who live outside of our designated neighborhood residence area this year. We do not anticipate having very many permit spots available for any grade level, but if you would like to join our waitlist, you may email [email protected] on or after Monday, February 3rd to be added to our waitlist.
- If we have space, families will need either an Inter-District Permit or an Intra-District Permit. LAUSD permit. information can be found at https://www.lausd.org/Page/17470.
- Inter-District Permits are for families who live outside of the Los Angeles Unified School District. Special permission is required to leave your resident school district to join LAUSD.
- Intra-District Permits are for families who live within the Los Angeles Unified School District but want to attend a school that is not their resident area school.
This process of accepting students from outside our zone of residence is fluid and there is no set timeline. If we know we have space in a grade-level we can make decisions faster. If we are close to capacity this process could very well extend into August and could have decisions being made after the school year has started.
